CLIENT FAQS

Who qualifies for receiving car services?
  • Anyone who needs car repairs qualifies for service.
  • We prioritize single parents and fixed-income seniors, but anyone is welcome.
What services do you offer?

We focus on safety and essential needs, including:

  • Oil changes
  • Brake jobs
  • Pre-inspection checks
  • Second opinions
  • Tires
  • Other basic repairs – tie rods, ball joints, gaskets, etc.

Don’t be afraid to ask. If your repair goes beyond our current capabilities, we will do our best to connect you with other local resources.

How much do repairs cost?

We charge the cost of parts needed and a $10 shop fee (covers our utilities, insurance, and tools), but our labor is free.

Donations above and beyond the cost of parts are always welcome but optional. These donations help others who might need a little more help. Consider donating to further our mission here

If you are unable to afford parts, please request financial assistance before the appointment is scheduled through THIS FORM.

Are your mechanics certified?

Our volunteers include trained hobbyists, experienced technicians, and retired professionals who are committed to doing quality work. We only take on repairs we can safely do, and we’ll guide you to another trusted shop if your vehicle requires a specialty job outside of our capabilities.

What can I expect at an appointment?
  • Friendly volunteers ready to greet you
  • Comfortable waiting area with Wi-Fi for you and any children
  • Skilled service and honest communication about repairs
  • A listening ear or willing prayer partner
Are you a church?
The Garage at Living Faith is a distinct and separate 501(c)(3) charitiable organization from Living Faith Church. The Garage was established by Living Faith Church and is financially supported by Living Faith Church, but it is a separate entity.
We have a faith-based origin and foundation, but our services are charitable in nature. We do not discriminate against clients who do not share Living Faith’s teachings. You can find more information about Living Faith Church here.
Why do you do what you do?
We want to love our neighbors in practical ways and make our community better because we are here. That’s our purpose.

Our reason is just a little deeper.

God is a gracious and generous God. He is worthy of all of the honor we can give Him, for He created us, and designed us to enjoy Him forever. Mankind consistently rejects God and has failed to give Him the honor He is due since the beginning of time. This rejection of God deserves His wrath, but instead of giving us what we deserved, He offered us His love by sending Jesus to take that punishment upon Himself. He paid a price by dying in our place so that we could have something great for free – forgiveness, freedom, and full joy forever in Heaven. He offers this to all people, inviting them to respond to the offer through faith.

Our stated purpose is our true purpose – we want to love our neighbors in practical ways and make our community better, and we’d like to see you do the same.

But, the reason we are compelled to do this is that we know we have been shown tremendous love by a loving and gracious God and we’re trying to imitate Him.

I was deeply relieved and thankful that I could afford necessities like medicine and groceries after receiving free car repairs
