Volunteers may contribute to the mission and success of The Garage by becoming part of the community of auto-repair enthusiasts who use and care for the facilities (“Authorized Users”), by volunteering skilled labor to do basic car repairs for our neighbors (“Mechanic Ministers”), or in numerous other ways. Authorized Users may reserve time for their own repairs and will be asked to contribute to the upkeep of the garage through volunteering at occasional work days, donating cash or supplies, or promoting the ministry among the community.
Reserve a Garage Bay for personal use
Once you are an Approved User of the garage, you may schedule time for personal car repairs. Recommended donation of $10 to cover shared expenses.

We are a public charity (About Us)
The Garage at Living Faith is dedicated to providing affordable car repairs to everyone in Western Pennsylvania. Our mission is to ensure that reliable transportation is accessible to all, fostering independence and improving quality of life. As a community-driven initiative, we strive to make a positive impact by offering cost-effective solutions and exceptional service.
Along the way, we create a community of auto-enthusiasts who mentor young people and build lasting friendships as they serve together.
We are a faith-based organization insomuch as we strive to show God’s love to our neighbors in practical ways.
The Garage at Living Faith is a registered 501(c)(3) charity. All donations are tax-deductible.
The Garage does not disciminate based upon age, ethnicity, ancestry, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.
Our only determining factors when providing services are the expressed need and our ability to help in that moment.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are your prices?
We charge the actual cost of parts, and we can typically provide those costs in advance of most services. Our labor is free. If a client is unable to afford parts, they can request financial assistance before the appointment is scheduled.
Are you a church?
The Garage at Living Faith is a distinct and separate 501(c)(3) charitiable organization from Living Faith Church. The Garage was established by Living Faith Church and is financially supported by Living Faith Church, but it is a separate entity.
We have a faith-based origin and foundation, but our services are charitable in nature. We do not discriminate against clients who do not share Living Faith’s teachings. You can find more information about Living Faith Church here.
Are your mechanics qualified?
Our volunteers are skilled-hobbiests who are self-taught or trained by more experienced retired Mechanics. We will not knowingly pair your repair job with an ill-prepared volunteer mechanic.
Can you refer us to a commercial garage?
We primarily serve a different clientele than full-time commerical shops. Many local shops are partners to whom we refer larger jobs or customers who can afford market-rate prices.
We also help local shops as a referral destination for fixed-income clients.
